Summary The article deals with the suggestions on teaching reading skills – one of the four basic ones in learning foreign language. Reading helps English language learners become better readers and make improvements in other aspects of their English skills. Students select their own reading material and they stop reading if the material is not interesting or is too hard. In the cause of research some important suggestions are given for teaching reading.
