Nowadays, Kazakhstan is paying a great deal of attention to green economy, particularly to the significance of the protecting green belts against its increased amount of insect pests. Forest pest control plays a critical role among forestry enterprises.
The study was conducted this year to survey the green belt areas in Astana. Survey revealed that some regions of the green belt of Astana suffer from attacks by insect pests and diseases. Efficiency of forest protection measures can improved only by having extensive knowledge about its pest species composition and some features of their biology and ecology, as well as a selection of proper pest control products.
