Paronyms with their phonological-phonetic, semantic and formation features have some common and uncommon, similar and dissimilar peculiarities with the linguistic phenomena such as variation, polysemy, homonymy, synonymy and antonymy. Paronymic variations, polysemy, homonymy, synonymy and antonymy in the lexical system of the Uzbek language are universal linguistic category, having distinct plane of expression and content peculiarities.
