Abstract. This article deals with the problem of communicative skills in learning foreign languages at primary school. The author shows specifics of work with components of communicative competence, thus formation of schoolchildrens‟ ability at primary school to communicate in a new language is maintained by the interaction of gaming motivation and interest in school training. During the period of junior stage pupils lay the foundation of language and speech abilities needed for further learning a foreign language as a means of intercultural dialogue, which is the main purpose of teaching FL at school.
